Effie Piniat

Effie Piniat, age 95, of Dix Hills, NY, died Sunday, September 2, 2018. She is the beloved wife of the late Jack who died on January 12, 2012. She is the loving and devoted mother of Anthony and his wife Linda. Kiki Xanthos and her husband Peter, Dorothy Rigano and her husband James. She is the cherished and adored grandmother of 13, and great grandmother of 18.

The funeral will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, September 6th at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of St. Paul, 110 Cathedral Ave, Hempstead, NY, with her grandson Father Christopher Xanthos officiating. The burial will immediately follow the service at Pinelawn Memorial Park, in Pinelawn, NY.

The family will receive relatives and friends wishing to pay their respects on Wednesday, September 5th from 5pm until 9pm at Towers Funeral Home Inc., 2681 Long Beach Rd, Oceanside, NY.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly request donations in memory of Effie Piniat, be made to the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Saint Paul, 110 Cathedral Avenue, Hempstead, New York 11550.
