Vito Alamia

Vito Alamia, of Argyle, NY, formerly of New Hyde Park, NY, passed away on September 26, 2015 at the age of 71. Vito was the cherished son of the late Peter and Mary Alamia. He is survived by his beloved wife and best friend of 54 years, Lucy Alamia. Vito is the loving father of five sons, the late Anthony, Dr. Vito and wife Lisa, Peter and wife Nancy, Michael and wife Cheryl, Chris and wife Grace, as well as one daughter, Jennifer Hogan and husband John. He was the devoted and caring PAPA of Joel, the late Jessica, Anthony, Dana, Michelle, John, Lucia Hogan, Antonia, Lucia Alamia, Christopher, Jenna, Angelo, Vito, Gabriella, Nicholas, Giovanna. Vito was a devoted family man who loved his wife, children, and grandchildren unconditionally. He was the patriarch of the family opening his home to friends and family alike while instilling the highest value of love, family and tradition in everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. His legacy will live on through all of us for many generations to come. He will be greatly missed. Vito will be reposing at Towers Funeral Home, Inc. 2681 Long Beach Rd. Oceanside on Wednesday from 2-4:30 & 7-9:30PM. There will be a funeral mass on Thursday at 9:45AM at St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church, Oceanside.
