It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Alicia Flores-Caparelli, a loving wife, sister and cherished friend, who left us on Wednesday, February 25th, 2026, at the age of 50. Born in the vibrant city of New York on October 8th, 1975, Alicia was a beacon of light and compassion throughout her life, touching the hearts of many with her unwavering kindness and vibrant spirit.
Alicia resided in the peaceful community of Oceanside, N.Y. A woman of intelligence and compassion, Alicia earned her Master's Degree and dedicated her career to making a difference in healthcare. She was a respected Hospital Administrator who was admired by her colleagues her for her tireless work ethic and her innate ability to inspire those around her.
Alicia's life extended beyond her professional pursuits; she was deeply dedicated to her family. She is survived by her loving husband Peter, who she met during their college days at Stonybrook University. Peter stood by her side through it all and together they shared a love that grew stronger each and every day. Alicia's life was enriched by her close relationships with her devoted mother Gladys, sisters, Enid (Hus) and Nydia (Joe), and her brother-in-law, Craig (Priscilla). She was a proud and doting Aunt/Tia to her nieces and nephews: Anissa, Victor, Mia, and Mikey, all of whom brought her immense joy.
Her father, Jose Antonio Flores, preceded Alicia in death, but his memory lived on in her heart. Alicia's love extended to her four-legged companion, her dog Daisy, who was a loyal friend and comfort to her.
Alicia was a woman of diverse interests and talents. She found joy in travel, visiting new places with an adventurous spirit, always eager to explore and learn. She was a culinary enthusiast, who delighted in creating delicious meals for her family and friends, filling their lives with warmth and comfort. In her leisure time, Alicia enjoyed the thrill of captivating mysteries and the supernatural, often found engrossed in episodes of her favorite TV shows, "Supernatural" and "Criminal Minds."
Her absence leaves a void that cannot be filled, but her memory will forever serve as a guiding light to those who were fortunate enough to know her. Alicia Flores-Caparelli will be remembered for her unwavering dedication, her kind spirit, and her love that touched everyone around her.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitations at Towers Funeral Home, Inc., in Oceanside, NY, on Sunday, March 1st, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm and again from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A celebration of Alicia's life and legacy will continue with an interment at Greenfield Cemetery, Uniondale, NY, on Monday, March 2nd, 2026, at 11:30 am.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in memory of Alicia to the Humane Society of New York.
