Anna C. Corigliano

CORIGLIANO, ANNA C. (nee SICILIANO), 89, of Oceanside, NY, formerly of West Hempstead, NY passed away peacefully on Friday, January 28, 2022.

She is survived by her daughters, Rosanne Vlahakis, (son-in-law, Thomas Vlahakis), Loraine Corigliano, granddaughters, Vanessa Ordway (John), Veronique Payne (Andrew) and great grandchildren, Preston, Seneca, Addison and Emerson.

She is predeceased by her husband Dominic, son Dominick, five brothers and four sisters. Anna was the last surviving sibling from her family of ten children.

She was a proud graduate of Evander Childs High in the Bronx. Shortly after graduation, she worked for the telephone company. After her marriage to Dominic in 1954, she became a loving and devoted housewife and mother. Her world revolved around her family and many friends.

Other highlights from her life was her time working as a Sales Clerk in the Men’s Dept. of Abraham & Straus where she would talk about all the famous and prominent men and local politicians that would request her assistance in picking out shirts and ties. She also very much enjoyed her time at the Oceanside Cove where she served as President of the Social Committee for many years.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, February 5th at 9:45AM at St Anthony's RC Church, 110 Anchor Ave, Oceanside, NY. Burial will be in Holy Rood Cemetery, Westbury on Saturday, February 5th.

Calling hours will be Friday, February 4th from 2-4 & 6-9PM at Towers Funeral Home Inc., 2681 Long Beach Rd, Oceanside, NY. The family of Anna requests that masks be worn regardless of vaccination status.
