Annunziata Borriello

Annunziata Borriello passed away peacefully on June 20, 2026, just weeks before her 100th birthday. Born on August 8, 1926, in Torre del Greco, Italy, she lived a remarkable life defined by love, strength, sacrifice, and devotion to her family.

Together with her beloved husband, Gennaro, Annunziata built a life centered on family. After welcoming their first four children in Italy, she embarked on the journey to America while expecting her fifth child, beginning a new chapter that would become the foundation of a large and loving family. Through hard work, determination, and unwavering commitment, she and Gennaro raised eleven children and created a home filled with warmth, tradition, and love.

Annunziata was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She took immense pride in her family, and nothing brought her greater joy than the accomplishments and happiness of her children. Her daughters were her closest friends, her sons were her pride and joy, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were a constant source of happiness.

Known for her impeccable home, Annunziata was an extraordinary homemaker and an unforgettable cook. No one kept a cleaner house, prepared a better meal, or made guests feel more welcome. Her kitchen was the heart of the family, where countless memories were made around her table.

A proper and elegant lady, Annunziata carried herself with grace while possessing a strength that inspired everyone who knew her. Tough as nails and strong in both spirit and body, she remained resilient throughout her life and retained that strength until her final days.

Her love extended far beyond her own children. To many in the Inwood community, she was like a second mother. Friends of her children were always welcomed into her home, fed at her table, and treated as family. Her kindness, generosity, and caring nature left a lasting impression on generations of people whose lives she touched.

Annunziata's legacy lives on through the family she cherished above all else. Her strength, values, traditions, and unconditional love will continue to guide her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

She is lovingly remembered by her children: Natale Borriello and his late wife Andrea; Carmela Mazzitelli and her late husband James and daughter Christina; Salvatore and Susan Borriello; Raffaele Borriello and Suzanne Casden; Louisa Borriello; Maria Borriello and Dominick Curra; Mario Borriello; Nancy Borriello; Gennaro and Roseann Borriello; Lisa and Gerardo Marino; and Angela and Gary Sebel.
