Anthony Larocca

Anthony J. LaRocca (Tony), passed on Saturday, November 17, 2018, surrounded by family and friends. Beloved husband of Claire, loving father of Jeanine Badalamenti (Anthony) and Michelle LaRocca (Bernard Laugen), adored grandfather of Julianna and TJ, dear brother of Sally Voelker (Bob), Joseph and the late Dee-Dee Zammetti (Steve). Survived by a large, caring family.

Tony enlisted in the United States Air Force at the age of 17 and served as a medic from 1962-1966. He joined the Nassau County Police Department in 1970, where he worked until he retired as Detective Sergeant in 2008. He continued to work for the Department as a civilian until just before his death.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Nassau County Police Department Scholarship Fund in his memory. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 9:45 am on Wednesday, November 21 at St. Anthony’s Church, 110 Anchor Avenue, Oceanside, NY. Calling hours will be Monday, November 19 from 7-9pm and Tuesday, November 20 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Towers Funeral Home, 2681 Long Beach Road, Oceanside, NY.
