RENDA, Sebastian Anthony "Tony" of Oceanside, NY suddenly passed away on June 21, 2011. Husband of Meryl for 42 years. Father to Scott and Lauren. Brother of John, Josephine, Mary, Rosario (deceased) and Francis. Uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. Member of the U.S. Army. Proudly retired New York City school teacher. Years of volunteer service to the Oceanside National Little League. Loved dogs. Chess enthusiast. Witty man who liked to draw cartoons, play word games and craft funny captions. Prided himself on finishing the Sunday Times crossword puzzle before lunch. Staunch New York Giants and Rangers fan for 50 plus years. Walked around asking, "Want to laugh?" He was a huge presence in the lives of his children. Always generous with his time and spirit. We miss him already. Visiting Towers Funeral Home, Inc. Long Beach and Foxhurst Rds. Oceanside on Thursday 7-9 pm and Friday 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Prayer at Funeral Home Saturday 10 am. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice in Tony's name would be appreciated.
