Anthony Zullo, 76, passed away at home on Monday, October 28, 2024.
Anthony was born in Queens and lived with his parents and brothers in Hewlett as a young boy.
In 1966, Anthony graduated from high school at George W. Hewlett High School. He married his
high school sweetheart, Margaret, in 1968 and moved to Oceanside where they raised their two
children, Stacey and Keith. Anthony joined the US Army National Guard right after high school
where he served for five years. He was an auto mechanic, following in his father’s footsteps.
Anthony worked with his father and brother at their family business until he started a career with
National Grid (formerly known as Long Island Lighting and Keyspan). He retired from National
Grid and eventually moved to North Carolina. Anthony will be remembered as a loving husband,
father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
Anthony is survived by his wife, Margaret; children, Stacey (Harry) Haney and Keith (Jacky)
Zullo; grandchildren, Brittany (Gerson) Monroy, Jessica (Vincent) Griffo, Kristin Haney, Justin
Haney, Antonella Zullo and Keith Zullo; great grandchildren, Lucas, Kora, Noah, Mila and
Mason; brothers, Richard (Robin) Zullo and John (Betty) Zullo, along with many beloved family
members including aunts, sister-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death
by his parents Pasquale and Catherine Zullo.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Heart Association or the American
