Antonio J. Shelton – March 16, 1965 – December 2, 2025

Antonio J. Shelton, Age 60, passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 in Vero Beach, Florida.

Antonio is survived by his wife Kathleen A. of Vero Beach, Florida; Father, Antonio E. Shelton, Zachary, Louisiana; preceded in death, Mother, Rita J. Schwartzenburg Shelton; sons, Antonio L. Shelton and his wife Lynette of Winchester, Virginia, Alexander A. Shelton of Camden, South Carolina and his wife Rebecca, Nicholas A. Shelton of Ohio, and Jonathan A. Shelton of Central, Louisiana. Antonio is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Jackson, Connor, David, Jasper, Alice, Pierce and Ellie. Antonio adored his children and grandchildren immensely.

Antonio is also survived by four siblings; Felicia Camardelle of Opelousas, LA and husband, Keith, Matthew Shelton of Baton Rouge, LA and his wife Leah, Nicole Davidson of Slaughter, LA and her husband Michael, and Michael Shelton of Opelousas, LA.

Antonio recently retired in 2022 from Suffolk County Police Department as a Program Supervisor, and continued to assist the Police Department after his retirement. Antonio was a very dedicated, committed and essential part of the Suffolk County Police Department where everyone at the SCPD could rely on his expertise.

Antonio will be surely missed by everyone who knows and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Diabetes Foundation in Antonio's memory as Antonio was a diabetic type 1 at the age of 17.
