Carol Doris Behrendt Tuzzeo
Arrived: May 14, 1923 in Perth Amboy, NJ to be with her loving parents, Peter and Jenny Behrendt and her two brothers, Douglas and her beloved Stanley.
Departed: June 10, 2026 from Lynbrook, NY to reunite with her loving husband Joseph "Joe" Tuzzeo and all those that went before her. Leaving behind her son Dale and his wife Linda, her daughter Cynthia "Cindy" Hariu, her granddaughter Melissa Waters, her husband Eric and Claudia, Elizabeth, James, and Phoenix, Her cherished great grandchildren, the loves of her life.
Legacy: The desire for all to know GOD's in charge, we are all brothers and sisters, and the LORD loves us equally.
Carol was a woman loved by all who met her. She wore many hats in her 103 years. Always to be remembered as strong with a heart too big to contain, a caregiver to all she encountered. Carol exuded joy and encouragement with the desire for all to embrace each other with love. Her sweet tooth, captivation with Barbie, Gene and other fashion dolls, let's not forget antique and a passion for collecting an assortment of beautiful items added a distinctive charm to her life. Her active participation in various organizations, notably while residing in Florida, featured involvement such as the Barbie Club and her volunteer work at local museums.
Her spirit of adventure was paralleled by her love of travel- both at home and abroad, enjoying countless cruises were among her favorite experiences. Back in her hometown of Lynbrook, she enjoyed activities at her church as well as the weekly meeting with her senior friends. Her favorite daily activities were Bible study and to keep her mind sharp playing cards. Each day was the best day, she always said she wouldn't change anything in her life.
Rest in peace Mommy. We are all HAPPY for you. You will be missed.
