Celia F. Arias

Celia Felicita Arias passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at 91 years old. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Celia was born on February 21, 1929 in Victoria de Las Tunas, Cuba. In 1964 she brought her children, Cesar and Pablo, to the U.S., where they joined her husband Evelio.

Celia had a lifelong passion for education, as evidenced by her various degrees in higher education and her life spent as a teacher. For 50 years she taught in Cuba, Long Beach School District, and St. Mary's Church.

She devoted her life to others and was the matriarch of her family. She brought love into every aspect of her life, and left this world having touched the hearts of everyone she has met.

She is survived by her children Cesar (Corina) and Pablo (Natalie), grandchildren Michelle, Monique, Ryan (Brittany), Steven, Heather, Valerie, Anthony, Michael and Ana, and great-grandchildren Madison and Easton. She is finally at peace, and has joined her husband and the Lord in the Kingdom of Heaven.
