Chrissoula Potaris

Chrissoula Potaris, age 90, of Baldwin, went to be with Jesus on Friday, March 29, 2019. Beloved wife of the late George Potaris. "Christina" as she was loving called, is survived by two children, Mary Kamitsis of Oceanside and Gus Potaris and his wife Donna of Baldwin; four grandchildren: Georgia Rotella, Demetrios Kamitsis, Chrissoula Potaris and George Potaris and four great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. One brother, Peter Goutos and his wife Efrosini and one sister, Demetra Karlis.

Christina was born in Sparta, Greece. She came to America to find her love Georgios and begin a life of hard work always with the focus to raise a loving family. She will be greatly missed but always in our hearts.

Calling hours will be Sunday from 4:00-8:00pm at Towers Funeral Home, Inc. 2681 Long Beach Rd. Oceanside. The funeral will be held 9:30 am on Monday, April 1st at Panagia Greek Orthodox Church, 79 Newport Rd, Island Park, NY with Fr. John Paizis officiating. Burial will be in Cypress Hills Cemetery, Brooklyn on Monday at 11:15 am.
