Claire Rottkamp

Claire Rottkamp, 75, of Oceanside, passed away on December 30, 2022. She is survived by her beloved husband of 32 years, Bill, brother Michael (Kathy), and loving family members, Rick (Judy), Ken (Terry), Russell (Andre). She loved her niece and nephews like they were her own and is survived by her niece, Samantha (Daniel), and nephews, Michael (Alyssa), Billy, Christopher, Scott, Kenny Jr., and Dylan (Katrina), and great-nephews Lucas and Logan. She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Rose Szucs.

She loved to work and had two long careers. She retired as a personnel clerk from Hewlett-Woodmere Public Schools in 2017. Prior to that, she worked for many years at Merrill Lynch and various commodities traders in Manhattan.

She loved nothing more than to be curled up under a blanket with a good book and a cat on her lap.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 3 at Towers Funeral Home in Oceanside from

4:00 - 8:00 PM. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, January 3 at 9:45 AM at St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church in Oceanside.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to:

St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or Bobbi and the Strays.
