Cristalo Miller

Christalo Miller, (nee Mikedes) aged 94, died peacefully on Friday July 24, 2020 in her home in Carle Place surrounded by family after a short illness. A remarkable and strong woman, she lived a full life having grown up in Cyprus and then returning to the United States where she met and married her husband Bill. They moved to Carle Place where they built a home and a life for themselves and their two children; becoming very active in the church as well as their community.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Bill, her adored son Billy, and her cherished brother Peter Mikedes. Christalo is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Marie and Rich DeTommaso with whom she lived, her grandson Richard and his wife Noelle DeTommaso, her granddaughter Emily and her husband Andy Stephan, and her grandson Nick DeTommaso. She was treasured by her great grandsons Jake, Stephan, Mark Stephen and Graham DeTommaso. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law Miriam Linna, her sisters Georgia Binns and Penelope Reilley, and was a loving aunt, great-aunt, cousin, friend and neighbor to many.

A funeral service at 10am will be held at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of St Paul’s
