Debra Levine

“ Debra (Debi) Jean Levine entered the world April 12th, 1995 in Brooklyn, NY and was raised in Oceanside, NY by her parents John and Joan O’brien. Debi was the 3rd out of 4 siblings. Her older brother Jack, her older sister Barbara and her younger sister Lorriane.

Later on in life, Debi gave birth to her first child, Jason Anthony Carbone on June 20th, 1997 before marrying Brian Levine on August 4th, 1985. Their first daughter, Nicole Alexandra Levine, was born on March 21st, 1992, followed by their youngest daughter, Gina Marie Levine, who arrived 5 and a half years later on September 26th, 1997.

Debi embraced motherhood with pride, dedicating herself to providing her children with the best life possible with endless love and laughter. Her joy expanded with the arrival of her grandchildren Karina Isabelle and Ryan James, whose presence filled her life with immeasurable happiness. She cherished every moment spent as their grandmother.

Debi's character was defined by her strength, love, and unwavering loyalty. Kindness radiated from her, touching the lives of all who knew her, earning her the title of "Second Mother" among her children's friends. Despite facing her own battles, she remained a beacon of support and love to those around her, fostering lifelong friendships and cherished memories.

In December of 2015, Debi confronted the daunting diagnosis of lung cancer. Despite her prognosis, she defied expectations, surpassing eight years of a courageous battle against the illness. Her resilience and determination served as a beacon of hope and inspiration to all who witnessed her journey.

Debi found solace in the simple joys of life—nature, the beach, and the warmth of the sun. She had a lifelong dream of traveling to Bora Bora. Debi loved yummy food and was an amazing cook. She loved all animals, especially horses which stemmed from her youth of horseback riding. But above all, her heart belonged to her children and grandchildren.

Debi’s legacy of love, strength and unwavering devotion to her loved ones will forever be cherished by those who were blessed to know her.“
