Dermis Barros

Dermis Barros, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, godmother, cousin and friend, passed away on February 16, 2022 in Mineola, New York, at the age of 34. As always, Dermis was surrounded by her faithful family and friends.

Dermis is survived by her adoring husband, Victor Michael Barros, loving son, Damien Barrios, and devoted mother, Alba Consuelo Fernandez. Dermis was predeceased by her father, Venancio Fernandez.

Dermis was born on April 18, 1987 in East Meadow, New York. She was a life-long resident of Freeport, New York where she met her husband and raised their son.

Dermis was a vibrant spirit, bringing laughter and joy to anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was a dedicated wife and mother who valued family above everything.

Dermis left us far too early, succumbing to a valiant years-long battle with cancer. She will be dearly missed and her memory will live on in the hearts and minds of her loved ones.

Those who wish to gather in memory of Dermis are invited to celebrate her life with her family on February 21, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Please also join her family on February 22, 2022 at 9:30 am at Holy Redeemer R.C. Church with an interment at the Greenfield Cemetery, located at 650 Nassau Road, Uniondale, NY 11553.
