Dina Barrientos

Dina Rosa Barrientos, born on August 30, 1942, in Lima, Peru, passed away surrounded by her

loving family. She was the cherished daughter of Humberto Barrientos and Clementina Vera.

Dina pursued her passion for fashion design in Lima, Peru, before moving to the United States in

1991. She found a long-standing career at R&M Richard on Fashion Avenue in Manhattan,

where she worked diligently for 25 years without ever calling out sick, embodying the values of

hard work and dedication.

As a devoted mother to Miluzka Mahler and Katty Gomez, and a beloved grandmother to Yosi

Lalo, Xavier Gomez, and Giannina Gomez, Dina was the heart and soul of her family. Her

kindness, loving heart, and willingness to help others touched everyone who knew her. She took

great joy in knitting, cooking, and caring for her loved ones.

Dina also leaves behind her loving siblings: sisters Marcela, Raquel, Avit, Abim, Noemi, and

brother Felipe. She was predeceased by her sister Maria and brother Rosendo, who she now joins

in peace.

Achieving her American Dream, Dina bought her own house in Ozone Park, providing a stable

and loving home for her daughters and grandchildren. She also delighted in going on cruises with

her family, creating cherished memories.

In 2023, she purchased a house in North Carolina with plans to move there with her family, but

sadly, she never got the chance to live there. This home will now be dedicated to her memory,

remaining a part of the family's legacy.

Dina Rosa Barrientos leaves behind a large, loving family who will miss her dearly and find

comfort in the many beautiful memories she created with them. She was truly the rock of the

family, and her presence will be forever felt in the hearts of those who loved her.
