Donna Marie Curcio

Donna Marie Curcio, 61, passed away on Friday, February 27th, surrounded by her loving family after a short but courageous battle with cancer.

Donna’s greatest pride and life’s work was her family. She fiercely loved her children and family, never hesitating to stand up for them and always showing up when she was needed most. She is survived by her devoted children, Pietro (Gabrielle), Charles (Elise), and Stephanie (James). She was a proud and adoring grandmother to Helena and Baby C.

Donna was dearly loved by her siblings Mary, Charles (Maria), Debra (Jim), and Lori (Sue), and she was a cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Jim; her parents, Charles and Dorothy; and her beloved dog, Timber. She is also survived by her loyal companion, Luna.

Donna was known for her honesty and unmistakable outspokenness — she would always tell you exactly what she thought, even if you didn’t ask. That honesty came from a place of deep love and loyalty. She was also known for her warmth, generosity, and incredible cooking — especially her beloved rice papettas, which brought family together around the table time and time again.

A Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church in Lynbrook on Saturday, March 7th at 10:45am

Donna will be deeply missed and forever loved by all who knew her.
