 Estelle B. O’Brien

April 30, 1936 – August 15, 2026

Estelle married her late husband and love of her life, Francis O’Brien in 1954. They were married for 40 years. Together, they raised three children, Karen, Michael, and Dorothy in Queens, New York, until they moved to Long Island in 1981. 

She is survived by her daughters, Karen and Dorothy; son-in-laws, Louis Senay and Louis Bonnet; eight grandchildren, Francis, Jacqueline, Jonathan, Kelly, Casey, Louis, Billy, and Timmy; and eight great-grandchildren, Katelyn, James, Julien, Gabriel, Vance, Logan, Clara and James; as well as her sister, Florence Legler, sister-in-law, Josephine McLoughlin, and many nieces and nephews.

Estelle had a deep love for her family and for all animals. She generously gave donations to many non-profit organizations that helped cats and dogs, especially. She also volunteered for many organizations over the years, including Little League, the Elks Club, Lion’s Club, and the New Hyde Park Civic Association.

As as Executive Administrator during the years she was employed in Manhattan, Estelle was devoted to her jobs at Dillon Reed and Morgan Stanley.

She had a special gift for bringing people together by organizing parties and she enjoyed them immensely. She loved to take photos and make albums for relatives and friends. Her home was a reflection of the people she loved, filled with photos displayed proudly throughout. Through her photos and albums, she gave her family a lasting treasure, memories of a life filled with love, laughter and togetherness.
