Frances G. Chelales passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family. Frances was the beloved wife of the late William Chelales, who predeceased her on November 10, 2003. She was a devoted and loving mother to Stephanie Chelales, Christopher Chelales, and Joseph Chelales and his wife Eileen Long Chelales.
She was a cherished grandmother to Jacqueline Chelales, Erika Chelales, Nicholas Chelales, Joseph Chelales, and Caroline Chelales, each of whom brought her immense pride and joy.
Frances was predeceased by her siblings Michael Radman and his wife Theresa Radman, and Rosemarie Lafiosca and her husband David Lafiosca. She is survived by her loving siblings Ann Kelly, widow of James Kelly; Linda Tricarico and her husband Frank Tricarico; and Joseph Radman, widower of Beverly Radman. She is also lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Frances will be remembered for her strength, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family. A devoted Catholic and deeply faith-filled woman, her faith was the foundation of her life. She lived with compassion, humility, and grace, always offering love, prayers, and support to those around her. Her presence brought comfort to many, and her love of family was evident in all she did. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Towers Funeral Home in Oceanside, NY on Wednesday June 3rd, 2026, during the visiting hours of 4pm - 8pm.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint Christopher's Church in Baldwin, NY on Thursday June 4th 2026, at 9:45am. Interment will follow at St. Charles Cemetery.
