Francesca Ferrante

Francesca Ferrante was born on March 6, 1925 in San Vito, Sicily.

Orphaned at an early age, Frances learned that in order to survive, you had to be strong.

She and Gino were married for 62 years and together they raised three children. Her family was the most important thing in her life. She and Gino worked very hard throughout the years to provide for their children. They both worked long hours in the garment industry but that didn't prevent her from heading right to the kitchen upon arriving at home to prepare a wholesome dinner for her family who she loved dearly. As mentioned earlier she was a strong woman!

Frances was as skilled in the garden as she was in the kitchen. She grew numerous varieties of vegetables including zucchinis that sometimes reached a length of 3 feet.

Her pride and joy, however, was her 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Frances will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held 9:30 am on Thursday, January 20th at St. Catherine's RC Church, Franklin Square, NY. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Woodside on Thursday, January 20th 11:15am.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, January 19th from 4 - 8PM at Towers Funeral Home Inc., 2681 Long Beach Rd, Oceanside, NY.
