Francesco Ancona

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Francesco Ancona, who departed this life on Friday, September 11th, 2026. A resident of Woodmere, NY, Francesco was a beacon of love and strength for his family and friends.

Born in Castellammare del Golfo, Sicily, Italy, Francesco entered the world in a place rich with tradition, family, and faith—roots he carried proudly throughout his life.

Francesco will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Maria Ancona, and his three sons: Domenico (Sandra), Girolamo (Maria), and Angelo (Omar). He also leaves behind many cherished grandchildren and a beloved great‑granddaughter, all of whom brought immense joy to his life. Additionally, Francesco is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Born into a family filled with love, Francesco was the youngest and last surviving child of his parents, Caterina and Francesco Ancona. He joins them and his siblings in eternal rest.
