November 12, 2003 — November 10, 2024

Gabriel Haberer

Gabriel Haberer was born November 12, 2003 to his mother Leah Haberer in Queens, NY. He spent his

entire life in Brooklyn, the borough he loved. Gabriel was an active child who couldn’t get enough of the

outdoors spending hours in the local parks with his grandfather.

Gabriel was a climber. He would climb to the top of the walk/don’t walk signs and hang upside down to

the shock of the neighbors. As he got older he would climb on parts and to the top of the various bridges

in the city.

As a young child he was involved in gymnastics and Marshal Arts. He played Baseball, Football, and

Lacrosse. Gabe loved to travel going on 20 cruises with his mother, Leah. Gabriel lived most of his life in

Clinton Hill and was known by all of the neighbors for his infectious smile and his great personality.

Gabe loved people. As a young child he would enter the park and make friends right away, usually with

the older kids because they played harder. Gabriel had a sense of loyalty that was uncanny. He had

many long term friends, especially those who were closet to him, Naomi, Maralee, Natelie, Ryan and

Zion. Gabriel took care of everyone he loved, especially his deep love for his mother and grandmother

Sharon. Whether he knew you for a long or short time, if Gabriel loved you, you could be assured that

you would be taken care of. Gabriel cared for his female friends. After a party at night, he would either

send them home in an Uber or ride the train with them until they were safely home.

Gabriel was an animal whisperer. Wild birds would sit on his head and hands, snails would come to him,

cats would sleep on his lap, but his greatest love was for his dog Rocket Bodyguard.

Gabriel had an impeccable work ethic. No matter how late the party Gabriel would be sure to make it to

work the next day even if he had to work a double shift. He was very dependable.

Gabriel was called to glory on November 10, 2024. He leaves behind his mother Leah Haberer, his

Grandparents David and Sharon Haberer, his Uncle Isaac Haberer, his 2 sisters Maralee

Diana and Naomi Haberer, and his cousins Sharon, Aaron, and Alannah Haberer and numerous other

family members.

Gabriel left his mark and impact on everyone he came in contact with. He is already greatly missed and

will remain in our hearts forever.
