Gene Speroni

On Friday, September 6th 2024, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, Gene Speroni passed away. Born to Enrico and Maria Speroni on October 26, 1960, Gene loved growing up in Brooklyn. His neighborhood and community there shaped his life in so many wonderful ways. He met and married his wife, Janet, in Brooklyn. They were married for over 40 years, and together for over 48 years.

Gene was a meticulous and passionate accountant who was always giving every ounce of knowledge to help a friend. He had a long career doing what he loved. Between accounting, the New York Jets, and his family, he shaped a life he was proud of. He was a determined and generous man.

Gene was an adored father to Melissa and Juliana, a respected father-in-law to Tom and Ilan and a fun and goofy grandfather to Genevieve, Avery, James and Nicholas. Gene’s memory will live on through his family and all who knew him.

The family is hosting a visitation at Towers Funeral Home in Oceanside, New York on September 10th, 2024 from 1-8pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association in his name.
