Giuseppe Birardi

Giuseppe (“Pino”) Birardi, 82, of Oceanside, NY passed away on December 30, 2024 in Oceanside, which was his home for the past 35 years.

There will be a wake held for Giuseppe at Towers Funeral Home in Oceanside, New York on Thursday, January 2nd between 4-9pm. His funeral mass will be held at Saint Agnes Cathedral in Rockville Centre on Friday, January 3rd at 9:45am, followed by burial at Saint Raymond’s Cemetery in the Bronx.

Giuseppe was born in Palo Del Colle, Bari, Italy to Vincenzo and Teresa Birardi on August 15, 1942. He faithfully served in the Italian army in his younger years. He later emigrated to Germany, Canada and finally to the United States where he spent his last 56 years as a loyal husband and father with a diligent work ethic. He had two successful careers – first as a chef and later as a commercial painter, during which he owned and operated his own painting company, Primo Painting Contractor Corporation.

Giuseppe is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Maria, three children – Vincent (Jessica), Theresa (Mario) and Salvatore (Kimberly), five grandchildren – Luca, Matteo, Olivia, Sadie and Amelia - and sister Teresa. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Maria and his brothers Filippo and Pasquale.
