Giuseppe Tafuri

Giuseppe "Joe" Tafuri, born in Montemiletto, Italy, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family.

Before immigrating to the United States in 1956, Giuseppe proudly served in the Royal Italian Army, an experience that remained a source of pride throughout his life. With determination, resilience, and remarkable work ethic, he came to America to build a better future for his family.

He built a respected tile and marble business through old-world craftsmanship, integrity, and hard work. His passion for building, combined with his genuine love for people, naturally led him into real estate. While he took great pride in all that he built, it was the people he met, the friendships he formed, and the conversations he shared that meant the most to him.

Above all else, Giuseppe was a family man, and his family was the center of his world. He was first married to his beloved wife, Aquitania, whose unique sense of humor brought him endless laughter. Together they raised four devoted children: Anthony, Adelina, Richard, and Andrea. After Aquitania's passing, he was blessed to find love again with his devoted wife, Ada, with whom he shared many wonderful years and lovingly welcomed her three sons, John, Rob, and Mark, into his family.

He was a proud and loving grandfather to Tania, Samuel, Kayla, Liana, Joseph, Gina, Alexandra, Joseph, Layla, and Natalia. Through his marriage to Ada, his family grew to include eight more grandchildren: Isabella, Francesca, Christopher, James, Marina, Matthew, Emma, and Julianna. Watching that family continue to grow- and welcoming five great-grandchildren - was among his greatest blessings.

Giuseppe taught those around him what truly mattered: family first, hard work, giving one hundred percent in everything you do, and - in classic Giuseppe fashion - always presenting yourself with pride and style.

Our hearts are broken, but we find comfort knowing that a love like Giuseppe's never truly leaves us. It lives on in our family, our traditions, every gathering, and every life he touched.

From the hills of Montemiletto to the home and family he nurtured in America, Giuseppe's greatest legacy is not the remarkable life he created from humble beginnings, but the lives he shaped through his love, his values, and the example he set.

He will be forever loved and deeply missed.
