Helen S. Mahares, age 90, of Mattituck, LI, and Del Ray Beach Florida, and formerly of Glen Cove, NY died Friday, December 9, 2016. Mrs. Mahares was born in Washington, DC. Beloved wife of the late Thomas and loving mother of Pamela Fakatselis, Betty Clausen and Joanne Hadjiyane. Dear grandmother of Paul Fakatselis and Diana Nicole Hadjiyane. The funeral service will be held 10:00 am on Wednesday, December 14th, at The Greek Orthodox Cathedral of St. Paul, 110 Cathedral Ave, Hempstead, NY 11550. The burial will be at Greenfield Cemetery, in Uniondale, NY, immediately following the service.
