Helen Schramm

Oceanside, New York - Helen Schramm (nee Potochak), 91, passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 26, 2016 at Oceanside Care Center.

Helen loved her family - children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many friends. Helen and her husband John, who passed away in 1998, spent 17 sunny and happy years living in Las Vegas. She enjoyed going to Atlantic City with friends, playing bingo, watching the Mets win or lose, and eating chocolate. Helen used her many talents organizing trips and events for the residents of Wantagh Senior Center where she was a resident herself for 15 years.

She is survived by her children Victoria Jones, Barbara Chicco, Deborah Parks, and David Schramm; her daughter-in-law Janet Brinkos; her sons-in-law Stephen Jones and Giancarlo Chicco; her grandsons Peter, Graham, Mason, Darien, Nicholas, Nathan, and Gianmichael; her granddaughter, Molly; her grand-daughters-in-law Stacie, Nicole, and Carlyn; her grandson-in-law Thor; her great-grandchildren Brooke, Hannah, Scott, Sierra, and Ivan; and her grand-dog Willie.
