Helen P. Valenti

Helen Valenti passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on September 6, 2025.

Helen was born in Rockaway Beach on March 19, 1929, to Mary Ann and James Heaney. She was the second of six children in the Heaney Family.

On September 22, 1951, she married the love of her life, Frank Valenti. They bought a home in Far Rockaway and raised six children on Eggert Place, a block where their kids forged friendships that would last a lifetime. She considered herself a "happy homemaker” and it was a life she cherished. She was tireless in her efforts, painting and redecorating our home more times than anyone could count!

When their kids were grown, Helen and Frank moved to Long Beach, where they would happily spend the rest of their lives.

Helen is predeceased by her husband, Frank, and daughter Eileen. She is survived by her children James, Peggy (Michael), Frank (Laura), Stephen (Sandy) and Nancy; her grandchildren Michael, Alyssa, Danny, Kelsey, Nico, Grey, Stephen, Sara and Leo; as well as 11 great-grandchildren. She was proud of her “dynasty” and treasured every moment with her big, loving, happy family.

Helen is no longer part of the physical world but will live on in our hearts forever.
