Born in the Philippines, Ivy came to the United States at a young age and built a beautiful life here. She was a talented chef at the Garden City Hotel, where her creativity and warmth shone through in every dish she crafted.

Ivy was the cherished daughter of Amelia Mendizabal and Michael Ureke, a loving wife to Menardo Garcia, a devoted mother to Melia Garcia, and a dear sister to Imee Bautista. She was known for her bright smile and the countless friendships she nurtured. To those who knew her, it often seemed that birds sang when she walked by and that the sunshine followed her even on rainy days. We will miss her smile, and we will miss her laugh, as she truly brought light and warmth wherever she went.

Ivy was a wonderful soul who will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
