Jeanne Conroy

Our beloved mother, grandmother, wife, sister, and friend, Jeanne Conroy, passed away on September 26, 2026, at the age of 74, surrounded by the family she loved so deeply.

Jeanne was born in Ozone Park, New York, and grew up in Baldwin. She later made West Hempstead her home, where she shared 49 beautiful years of marriage and life with her beloved husband, Dennis, while raising their family and creating a home filled with love, warmth, and cherished memories.

Jeanne was truly one of the sweetest and kindest souls. She was selfless, generous, and devoted, always putting the needs of others before her own. She had a rare gift for making people feel welcomed, understood, and cared for. Jeanne saw the good in people and in life, even during difficult times, and her gentle spirit brought comfort and light to everyone fortunate enough to know her.

As a wife, Jeanne was devoted to her husband Dennis for 48 years. She was patient, honest, loving, and steadfast; standing beside him through all life's joys and challenges. Their marriage was built on love, trust, and a lifetime of shared memories. She was not only his wife but his partner, his best friend, and the person he could always count on. As a mother, Jeanne was present in every part of her children’s lives. She listened with patience, encouraged them with unwavering faith, and took genuine joy in all they did. She celebrated their accomplishments, stood beside them through challenges, and was always ready with a comforting word, a thoughtful gesture, or a listening ear. Her children never doubted that they were loved. To them, Jeanne was a constant source of strength, reassurance, and unconditional love, a place of comfort they could always call home.

Jeanne faced one of life’s greatest challenges when she battled lung cancer in her 40s and courageously overcame it. When the cancer returned in 2023, she faced it once again with remarkable strength, grace, and positivity. She never allowed illness to define her or diminish her appreciation for life. Instead, she continued to find joy in the people she loved, the moments they shared, and the simple blessings of each day. Her courage and determination were an inspiration to everyone around her.

Through her journey, Jeanne became a role model to all who knew her. She showed us that strength does not always have to be loud; sometimes it is found in grace, patience, faith, and the decision to keep moving forward with love. Without ever realizing it, she taught us what life is truly about: loving deeply, cherishing family, finding beauty in ordinary moments, and meeting the world with kindness and compassion.

Jeanne is now reunited with her beloved parents, the late John and Eleanor Lombardo. She is survived by her beloved husband, Dennis; her three children, Kimberly, Lauren, and Dennis Jr.; her four cherished grandchildren, Anthony, Giada, Landon, and Hailey; and her three sisters, Carol, Dorothy, and Jo Ann.

Jeanne loved traveling to Pennsylvania and Florida, shopping, cooking, reading, and going to the beach. Above all, however, her greatest joy was her family, and being the best “Gammy” to her beautifully admired grandchildren. She was always present for them; loving them, laughing with them, caring for them, and making memories they will carry with them forever. She treasured every gathering, every conversation, and every moment spent together. The memories she created through holidays, trips, meals, celebrations, and everyday moments will remain a lasting gift to those she loved.

Jeanne’s legacy lives on in the family she devoted her life to, in the kindness she showed others, and in the strength and love she passed down to those who knew her. Her presence will be deeply missed, but the lessons she taught and the love she gave will continue to guide her family for generations to come.

Mom, there are no words that can truly express how much you mean to us. You were always present in our lives listening to us, supporting us, encouraging us, and taking part in all that we did. You made us feel loved not only through your words, but through everything you did each day. Your kindness, strength, selflessness, and unconditional love shaped who we are. You taught us to appreciate life, to cherish our family, to find light even in the darkest moments, and to keep going with courage and grace. We hope to carry your strength, your compassion, and the beautiful way you lived with us each day. Though we will miss your voice, your smile, and your loving presence more than words can say, we will find you in the memories we share, in the lessons you taught us, and in the love that will always bind us together. You will forever be a part of who we are. We love you, we miss you, and we will carry you in our hearts forever!
