Joan Williams

Joan Williams (born Marjorie Downing Rodman), age 95, of Oceanside, NY, died peacefully of natural causes on Thursday, September 6, 2018. Joan was a licensed practical nurse for over 25 years and a long-time resident of both Long Beach and Oceanside. She cared for feral and domestic cats and worked as a volunteer for animal welfare.

Joan is the beloved aunt of Jennie R Needleman (Richard), Joanne R Reilly (Sean), Peter Livingston Rodman, Robert Livingston Rodman (Nancy), Susan D Rodman, and their 8 adult children. She was predeceased by her father, Sheldon Rodman, her mother, Pauline Fort Rodman Williams, her stepfather, Emil Williams, and her brother, Robert Livingston Rodman.

She will be buried at Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx, NY in a private ceremony for the family.
