John “Jack” Buckman

John “Jack” Buckman passed away peacefully on May 31, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on March 24, 1943, Jack was a man whose warmth, humor, and kindness brought joy to everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Jack built a successful career at Xerox before retiring early to embrace life to the fullest, trading office walls for open waters. His happiest days were spent clamming with his brother Donny and sharing laughter and stories with the friends he made in Freeport. The salt air, the camaraderie, and the simple pleasures of life on the water brought him peace and happiness.
Jack is survived by his beloved wife, Lynn; his cherished daughters, Debbie and Dana; and his sons-in-law, Tommy and Eckart, who loved him deeply and wholeheartedly. He was a proud and devoted grandfather to Justin, Kira, Caitlin, and Sean. He was their biggest fan in everything they did, offering unwavering support and boundless love. The admiration they had for him was matched only by the pride he took in being their grandfather.
Jack is also survived by his brother, Don; his wife, Diane; and his nieces and nephews, with whom he shared a lifetime of memories and laughter. His legacy is one of love, laughter, and strong family bonds.
Jack’s memory lives on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
