Joseph F. Bellona, a beloved resident of Oceanside, NY, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 19th, 2026, at the age of 95. Born on Wednesday, March 18th, 1931, in Manhattan, NY, Joseph lived a life marked by dedication, service, and love for his family and community.
Joseph proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marines, a testament to his courage and commitment. After his military service, he embarked on a successful career as the owner of BE-MI Construction Corp., where he was known for his integrity and leadership in the construction industry.
Throughout his life, Joseph was a devoted family man. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Joseph F. Bellona and Anna Bellona, as well as his cherished wife, Nancy Bellona. He is survived by his three daughters, Anne E. Cuomo, Patrice Polanco, and Lisa Oliver Bellona, who were the light of his life. Joseph's legacy continues through his loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought him immense joy, along with his son-in-law’s and a wide circle of dear friends.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation at Towers Funeral Home, Inc., in Oceanside, NY, on Tuesday, April 21st, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A Funeral Mass to honor Joseph's life will be held at St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church in Oceanside, NY, on Wednesday, April 22nd, 2026, at 10:45 am. Following the service, Joseph will be laid to rest at St. Charles / Resurrection Cemeteries in Farmingdale, NY.
Arrangements are under the care of Towers Funeral Home, Inc. Joseph will be remembered for his steadfast dedication to family, his remarkable career, and his unwavering strength. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
