Joseph James Furnari born May 1st, 1953. Passed away October 26, 2025. Joseph is survived by the love of his life, his wife Geri, they were married for 46 years. He was an adoring father to his three daughters Meaghan, Deirdre and Caitlin and cherished father-in-law to Jon and Willy. Beloved Grandfather to Olivia, RJ, Zoe, Michael, John and James. Devoted oldest brother to Michael, James and Christine and loyal lifelong best friend to John Schultz.
Joe was the greatest friend a person could ever hope to have if you were lucky enough to be close to him. It’s easier to tell you what Joe wasn’t: He wasn’t greedy. He wasn’t materialistic. He wasn’t close-minded. He was never selfish; rather, selfless is what he was. He was so well-read, high school English teachers would be intimidated by him, though he would never try to do that; and unless you could recite poems by Keats, Blake, Kipling, Poe, and many others, AND you studied the classics, you wouldn’t understand his scholarship. Joe was fearless and he knew St. Joseph was always by his side. If he had to drive through a blizzard for his family or his friends, he would do it and you could count on him to make it to you. There are no words for friendship like that. It would be easier-for you to tell me that you think you have a clear definition of love.
Joe loved his family and friends unconditionally. He was a provider and protector and adored by anyone who ever had the pleasure of knowing him.
