Joseph Gregory Raimondi, known affectionately as "Greg" to his family and "Joe Rho" to his friends, passed away peacefully on July 18th, 2024, surrounded by his family. Born on December 7th, 1962, in Oceanside, NY, Joseph's life was a testament to love, strength, and kindness, leaving a mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Growing up in Oceanside, Joseph developed a deep passion for sports, particularly baseball, basketball, and golf. Especially the Mets, Knicks and Rangers. He graduated from Oceanside High School and pursued a fulfilling career as a Local One elevator mechanic, where his dedication and skills were highly regarded.

Joseph was a man of unwavering integrity and warmth, always ready to offer support and guidance to his loved ones. His infectious sense of humor could brighten even the darkest of days, and his stories captivated everyone fortunate enough to hear them.

Above all, Joseph cherished the time spent with his beloved daughter Nicole, his family, and his friends. He was a devoted son, a loving brother, and a cherished uncle to his nieces and nephews. In recent years, he found joy in supporting his family while living in Massachusetts. His unconditional love created countless cherished memories that will be forever treasured.

In his leisure time, Joseph found great pleasure in playing golf with friends, attending sports games, and embarking on memorable vacations to Brazil with his girlfriend Nadia and her family. His zest for life and adventurous spirit were truly inspiring.

When Joseph was diagnosed with cancer, he moved in with his devoted daughter Nicole. During this time, they shared precious moments walking along the boardwalk, indulging in ice cream and coffee outings, and cheering for their favorite teams, the Rangers and the Knicks. These special moments and memories brought them even closer together, and they will forever treasure the bond they deepened over these past few months.

Joseph will forever be grateful for the unwavering support of his friends who stood by him during this challenging time. Their phone calls, visits, and shared golf outings provided moments of joy and companionship that lifted his spirits. Together they reminisced about cherished memories that brought comfort and laughter. Most importantly, their support in accompanying him to appointments and treatments was a testament to their deep friendship and love. Joseph treasured each gesture of kindness knowing that he was surrounded by true friends who enriched his life in immeasurable ways.

Joseph's passing has left a profound void in the lives of all who knew him. His courage, wisdom, generosity, and genuine personality will be deeply missed. Though he may no longer be physically present, his spirit will continue to guide and inspire us.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate Joseph's life will be held on Sunday, July 21st, from 4pm to 9pm at Tower’s Funeral Home. A mass will follow at St. Anthony’s Church in Oceanside on Monday, July 22nd, at 9:45am. He will be laid to rest at St. Charles Cemetery.

Joseph Gregory Raimondi will forever remain in our hearts, remembered fondly for his love, laughter, passion for golf, and the profound impact he had on all who were fortunate enough to know him.
