Joseph V. Heaney
Joe Heaney passed away on March 18th, 2024 after a long illness.
He was a lifelong Yankee fan despite being raised in Dodger Brooklyn and loved sharing stories about growing up in Midwood. He was an avid tennis player who met his wife across the net in a mixed doubles match. Together they had a daughter and lived in Rockville Center for 35 years. Joe was a parishioner at St Agnes, a member of the Sandel Center and enjoyed spending his retirement reading travel brochures and planning vacations.
His reputation was that of a quiet gentleman who had a smile for everyone.
He is survived by his wife, Bea, and daughter, Andrea.
