Joyce E. Giorsos

Joyce E. Giorsos of Valley Stream, NY passed away peacefully with her family by her side on October 5, 2022 at the age of 68. Beloved wife of Louis. Loving daughter of Mildred. Devoted mother of Jeanette (Frank) and Cristie. Adored grandmother of Frankie, Niko and Gia. Cherished sister of Marylou, Susan and the late Edward. Loving aunt of Anthony, Danielle, Joseph, Michael, Keith and Krystal. Joyce was predeceased by her grandmother Hannah, uncle Max, mother-in-law Demitra, father-in-law Costas, and brother-in-law Joe.

Joyce was a kind woman who left an impression on everyone she met. She was quick to make you feel comfortable and part of the family. She was funny, witty and believed that laughter was the best medicine. She always had a special way of making you feel better when you were down. She was passionate in her beliefs and morals. Joyce loved music, singing and dancing. She enjoyed watching musicals and was extremely crafty and artistic. She loved spending time with family and loved her pets. Her greatest pride and joy were her 3 beautiful grandchildren. Joyce and her husband Lou enjoyed 45 wonderful years of marriage. They shared a love and devotion toward each other that was on of a kind, beautiful and rare.

Family will receive friends Monday, 2 pm - 4 pm and 6 pm – 9 pm at Towers Funeral Home in Oceanside, NY. Catholic Mass will be held Tuesday at 10:45 am at St. Anthony’s Church in Oceanside, NY. Cremation Private.
