Joyce M. Tacktill; beloved wife, sister, aunt, and passionate bird lover, passed away on July 26, 2024, at the age of 69. Joyce was a former resident of Oceanside, NY, and a cherished member of the Fort Myers, FL community.

Joyce was married to Stephen Tacktill on March 15, 1987. Together, they shared a life filled with love and adventure, traveling across the country for competitions where Joyce showcased her strength as a weightlifting champion. They also enjoyed scuba diving in the serene waters of the Bahamas, creating lasting memories together.

A proud and loving elder sister to Brian, Amy, and Charles Levine, Joyce's family was her cornerstone. She was a devoted aunt to Brieanna and Christian Giordano, Nikki, Gina, Valerie, Madeline, Julia, and Charlie Levine. Joyce’s generous spirit and kind heart touched the lives of everyone she met.

Her profound passion for birds was a defining part of her life. Joyce and Steven nurtured their three feathered companions, Bobo, Sam, and Murdock, who were loved as their "children."

Joyce’s warmth, strength, and dedication will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her legacy of love, adventure, and devotion to those around her will be remembered fondly.
