Juan G Berrios

Juan G. Berrios was born on December 24th 1927, and left us peacefully on Friday, December 13th, 2024, 11 days just shy of his 97th birthday. He was a long-time resident of Brooklyn, and then Long Island, New York. Juan was a widower, and is now reunited with his wife, Damiana Berrios of 36 years. He leaves behind his 3 children, son Edwin (Marilyn), son Edgar (Magali) and his Daughter Diana (Michael). He had two Grandchildren, DiEna Davis and Ryan Berrios. He was also a favorite and adored Uncle to his Niece, Blanca Lillian Berrios.

He was born in Corozal, Puerto Rico in 1927 and was the son of Juan Berrios and Josefa Rivera.

He proudly served in the United States Army from 1951-1953, as a Corporal and a Guided Missile Launching Chief and earned a National Defense Service Medal. He was a skilled machinist and fabricator, working for Levin Fixture Corporation and Hollow Metal Corporation for most of his adult life. He had hands of gold and was ultra-creative being able to repair and fix almost anything from appliances to automobiles. He was always generous with his time to help anyone that asked, and always did it in a quiet way.

Funeral Services and viewing will be held at Towers Funeral Home, 2681 Long Beach Road, Oceanside NY 11572 on Thursday December 19th from 2:00-4:00pm and then at 6:00-8:00pm. Friday, December 20th at 9:00am, will be a private viewing for family and close friends with a 10:00am departure for St Charles Cemetery, 2015 Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale, NY 11735, at 11:00 am for a grave site service.

Family and friends can then gather afterwards, in his memory, at 12:30pm at Palmers Restaurant and Grill, located at 123 Fulton Street, Farmingdale, NY 11735 for an intimate gathering to celebrate a life, well lived +++
