Kathy Patakakis

Kathy (Ekaterini) Patakakis, 70, of Oceanside, New York passed away on Monday, May 12th, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Rockville Centre. She was born on August 26th, 1954, in Piraeus, Greece, to John and Helen (Stratigos) Patakakis. She was a graduate of Oceanside High School. She became the first female branch manager and first female executive vice-president at Bank of New York. She was active throughout her life in Kiwanis and became the first female president, Lt. Governor, and distinguished past president/past Lt. Governor. Her love for Kythira in Greece was demonstrated in her last twenty years of service as treasurer to the Kytherian Association of New York. She volunteers for many years at Mercy Hospital. Kathy is survived by her mother Helen, siblings Efrosini "Vivie" (Elias), Dimitra, and Gus (Angela). Her nephews and nieces Spiro (Carly), John, Eleni (Alexandros), Dimitri (Patricia), Eleni (Paul), John, Christopher, Lucy, George, Effie, Paris, and Aidan.
