It’s with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Yiayia — Katina (Papanastasopoulos) Cokinos.
Born in Koumani, Greece on June 15th 1926 to Margarita and Athanasios Papanastasopoulos. Married the late George Cokinos on October 10th 1948 in Chios, Greece. Devoted mother to the late Dr. Stephan Cokinos, Dr. Margarita Cokinos, Dean Cokinos and their spouses: Paula Cokinos, Dr. Dimitri Kandiloros and Dr. Christine Cokinos, respectively. She is survived by her 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren: George Cokinos, Katina (Cokinos) Davi, the late James “Jimmy” Cokinos, Katina Cokinos, Gianna Cokinos, Stavroula Kandiloros, Haralabos Kandiloros, Alexis Cokinos, Salvatore Davi, Stephan Davi, and Dimitri Davi.
To know her, was to love her. There are not enough words that capture our pain and sorrow at this time, but we thank you all for your love and support. Although she was blessed with 97 years on earth, the loss is immeasurable.
