Kenneth E. Roseboom
July 24, 1959 – September 2, 2022
Kenny was, simply, a force.
A true artist and Renaissance man, he excelled in every art and craft he pursued; Whether it be carving wooden figurines for his beloved grandchildren, Alina, Ava, Vincent, and Conrad, or creating model airplanes, designing and sewing kites, crafting handmade fishing poles, or constructing an entire kayak by hand, Kenny sought nothing short of perfection in each project he took on.
Anyone that knew Kenny knew that music was his absolute passion, his solace, and his escape. He was an avid drummer, and multi-instrumentalist. Unbelievably talented, but always modest.
A knowledge seeker, and, oftentimes, walking encyclopedia, Kenny had a natural curiosity about how
the world worked. He marveled at nature, was in love with the outdoors, and all animals.
Kenny had the work ethic of a bull, sacrificing everything to ensure his family was taken care of, had yearly camping vacations, and never a bare Christmas.
A straight shooter, but also deeply compassionate, he always supported the underdog, the misunderstood, and those who faced adversity. He taught his three children, Vincent, Melissa, and Jessica, to practice this empathy; to question authority and injustices. He guided them to embrace their individuality, their talents, and their authentic selves.
He also taught them how to love; fiercely, and unconditionally. There was no better example of this than his marriage of 42 years. Mindy was his best friend, soul mate, and entire world. An ideal weekend morning for the two would include taking a walk with their dogs and photographing a sunrise on the beach. They loved finding new parks to explore, cameras always in tow, always arguing about who took the best photo that day.
Dad, we know that wherever you are now, that you are home. We'll see you there.
We love you.
