Krystal (Lewis) Strouse, 47, of Oceanside, New York, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, surrounded by her family. Born on June 2, 1978, Krystal grew up in Oceanside, where she built lifelong friendships and deep roots in the community. After graduating from high school, she earned her certification as a public accountant at SUNY Old Westbury.
Krystal was the beloved daughter of Katherine Lehman and Edward Lewis and a devoted sister to Vicki LoPiccolo. She was also a deeply loving granddaughter to Rose, whom she helped care for with tenderness and devotion until her passing. Krystal shared a deep and loving marriage with her husband, Stephen Strouse, and together they raised their cherished twins, Evelyn and PJ, who were truly the center of her world. She formed close, meaningful relationships with her four brothers-in-law, who all considered her a sister, and was a beloved aunt, creating special bonds with her nieces and nephews and making each of them feel truly valued and unique.
Loving, caring, and deeply thoughtful, Krystal was beautiful both inside and out. She had a warm, inclusive spirit that made everyone feel welcome, and she was social, funny, and full of life. Her boisterous laugh could light up a room, and her happiness was found in simple joys—time spent with family, baking chocolate chip cookies, and shopping, especially when it meant finding the perfect gift for someone else. She had a playful side as well, delighting in collecting fun and quirky gadgets, particularly “As Seen on TV” treasures, which brought laughter and curiosity to those around her. She especially cherished the holidays, particularly Thanksgiving and Christmas, when family and friends gathered together, and she filled those moments with warmth and magic. She was the glue that held her family together, always making sure everyone was gathered, connected, and cared for.
As a bookkeeper, Krystal had unmatched organizational skills, which she used not only to help build her husband’s business but also to support the busy schedules of her children’s dancing and hockey passions. Krystal faced life and its challenges with optimism, strength, and quiet bravery—a model for us all.
Though her life was far too short, Krystal’s light did not fade with her passing. It lives on in the hearts of her family, her many friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be remembered always with deep love, admiration, and gratitude—for the beautiful soul she was and the generous heart she so freely shared.
In lieu of flowers, Krystal's family requests donation in her memory be made to:
