Laurie Lombardo

Laurie Lombardo, 66, of Rockville Centre, passed away peacefully at home on October 25th. Laurie was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Laurie graduated from St. John’s University and, after taking time to raise her family, worked as a medical assistant for a private practice focusing on women’s healthcare. Laurie devoted herself to every patient that she came in contact with – regularly checking in on them and taking calls late at night, on holidays and over weekends. She loved Broadway, old gameshows, the Yankees and her family. She joins her husband, Richie, who passed in 2004 and is survived by her daughter, Christine (Chris), son Richard, granddaughter Liliana, brothers Bill (Kathy) and Walter (Eileen) and sister, Lois (Michael).

Wake/visitation hours will be held on Monday, October 28th from 7-9 PM and Tuesday, October 29th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Towers Funeral Home, 2681 Long Beach Rd, Oceanside, NY. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, October 30th at Bellmore Presbyterian Church, 2740 Martin Ave, Bellmore, NY, at 9:30 AM. Burial will be in Nassau Knolls Cemetery, Port Washington on Wednesday, October 30th following the funeral service.
