Leonarda Boccia

On Saturday, June 21, 2025, Leonarda Boccia, age 82, passed away peacefully at Village Green Senior Living in Levittown, NY after a lengthy battle with dementia.

"Lena" Boccia, daughter of Rose and Joseph Masino, was born in Brooklyn, NY on December 12, 1942. In 1962, Lena married her soul mate Donato “Danny” Boccia. They remained married for 60 wonderful years, until his passing on November 10, 2022. Over the years, Lena worked as a bookkeeper for several companies, including Genova Furniture and Topper Realty.

For Lena, family always came first. Lena and Danny were exceptional Italian cooks and were always happy to have a busy kitchen and a house full of family and friends. They also never missed an opportunity to enjoy the company of their grandchildren and great grandchildren, including attending special events, going to the beach, the park, or having sleep overs. Lena is survived by her children Maria Graziano, Joseph Boccia, and Saverio "Sammy” Boccia, her nephew Saverio Maffettone, and her fourteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Lena will be greatly missed by all and is now reunited with Danny for all eternity.
