Marquita, lovingly known as “Marie,” passed away peacefully on May 24, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on March 13, 1943 in Lucena Philippines, Marie carried with her a deep love for family, faith, laughter, and community throughout her life.
A devoted wife to Maximino, Marie was the beloved mother of Michael and Maureen along with husband Kenny, and the proud grandmother “Nana” of Markus, Kamron and Makayla. Her family was the center of her world, and she filled their lives with warmth, humor, and unconditional love.
Marie was deeply prayerful and found joy and strength in her faith. She was an active and cherished member of the St. Anthony’s Senior Center, where her vibrant spirit, kindness, and energy touched so many lives. She loved dancing, laughing, and bringing people together.
Whether she was on the dance floor or simply sharing stories and smiles, Marie had a way of making every gathering brighter.
One of her most beloved traditions was dressing as Mrs. Claus during the holidays, delighting the family with her playful spirit. She brought joy wherever she went and created memories that will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew her.
Marie also had a famous habit of making everyone feel like her “favorite.” To this day, her family is still lovingly debating who truly held that title.
She will be remembered as a loving mother, devoted grandmother, faithful friend, and a woman whose joy for life was contagious. Though deeply missed, her love, laughter, and spirit will remain with her family & friends forever.
