Mary C. LoDolce, 90, of Oceanside, NY entered into the arms of the Lord on September 14, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Mary was the daughter of the late Victor and Julia Pangrazzi.
Mary was a graduate of Mt. Carmel HS in PA where she was the yearbook editor and a member of the National Honor Society. Mary moved to NYC where she worked as a secretary and there she met her husband John as he held the water fountain for her. She went on to work as a civil servant for the Oceanside School District for many years until her retirement in 1991 from School #8. While working and raising her family Mary earned her Associates degree in 1982 from Nassau Community College, an achievement she was very proud of.
Mary was an avid Bridge player. She also enjoyed traveling, knitting, golf, bowling, swimming, Scrabble and extended family gatherings where she was often the life of the party. Mary always said that her greatest accomplishment in life was her 4 children and 10 grandchildren. She was proud of each and every one and was their biggest fan. Mary could often be heard at her grandchildren’s sporting events cheering a bit too loudly. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and remembered fondly for her strength of spirit, sense of humor and hearty laugh.
Mary was the wife of 35 years to the late John Angelo LoDolce; mother of John (Irene), Diane (Michael) Cwalinski , James (Barbara), Marianne (Mark) Perry , Grandchildren; John (Kathy) & Loralise (Sam) LoDolce, Michael (Shil), Daniel (Sarah), Kristin & Mark Cwalinski, Matthew & Stephen LoDolce, Megan & Drew Perry. Mary is also survived by her sister Norma Perrone and her loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters Cecelia Kampson and Violet Pangrazzi.
A special thanks to the staff at Bedford Falls in Bedford, NH and the Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH for their compassionate care in her final days.
