Matthew Winters

Matthew Winters 81 of Oceanside New York passed away on Sat, Nov 2, 2024. Born on August 11,1943 in Brooklyn New York, Matthew was the fifth child of the late John and Mary(nee) O’Boyle. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Kathleen, his sons Matthew (Desiree), and Gary (Deirdre) his grandchildren Gavin,James, Brendan, Connor and Erin. He was predeceased by his brother James and his sister Barbara. He is also survived by his sister Mary and his brother John, 37 nieces and nephews and 21 great nieces and nephews.

Matthew was a printer in his younger years and then eventually went into the police equipment business,which he still kept his hand in until his death. He was also a member of the Freeport Rifle Range and loved to hang out with the guys there on Sunday mornings. He is remembered by all as a kind and genuinely nice guy and will be sorely missed.
