Ninfa Ilao, 84, of Oceanside, New York, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2026.
Born on September 22, 1941, in Lucena, Philippines, Ninfa lived a life defined by compassion, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her family and community. As a devoted Catholic and dedicated Registered Nurse, she spent her life caring for others and making a meaningful difference in the lives of countless people.
Ninfa was known for her vibrant spirit and joyful personality. She loved dancing, organizing celebrations, sharing stories, telling jokes, and bringing people together. Her warmth and kindness made everyone feel welcome, and she was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. As the founder of the Quezon Association Foundation, she worked tirelessly to support others and uplift her community. Her generosity and service touched countless lives and left a lasting impact on all who knew her. Above all, Ninfa was the lighthouse of her family—a guiding presence whose love, strength, wisdom, and encouragement illuminated the lives of those around her.
Ninfa was the beloved wife of Dr. Rosendo Ilao with whom she enjoyed 47years of marriage before his passing. She is survived by her daughter, Rochelle Ilao and her spouse, Jonathan, and their children, Jarren, Jase, and Juliana; her son, Alexander Ilao and his spouse, Iris, and their children, Christopher, Jordan, and Savannah; and her son, Maurice Ilao and his spouse, Maria. She also leaves behind many relatives, friends, colleagues, and community members who will forever cherish her memory.
Ninfa's legacy of kindness, service, laughter, and love will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. Though she will be deeply missed, the light she brought into the world will live on through the family she cherished, the community she served, and the countless lives she touched.
